The Myth Called GOD... - Part 2

Whenever in doubt, go back to starting of chain of events. It is a very useful hint in all practical problems of life. If we see that event B followed event A, C followed B, and D followed C; usually event D is not really a solution to event A. Event D occurred as a solution to event C. In fact many times we simply forget about event A by the time we reach event D. This is common due to the conscious state of mind, which is always engaged in finding solutions to the current situation. This is how a person lands in quicksand. In Marathi it is a common saying - BUDTYACHA PAY KHOLAT! (The more you struggle in quicksand, the deeper you go!)

So I started from event A again. Was I asking a wrong question in itself? If it were so, the answers were bound to be wrong.

Is Lord Ganesha saying something in disguise? Is Lord Ganesha actually God, or a means to reach the  teachings of God? Is Lord Ganesha telling me to acquire his characteristics? Will acquiring his characteristics solve my problems?

Clearly, I was falling short of having those characteristics. But then if I acquire them, will I not become God?

And then came the final flash of thought. BY KNOWING THAT I ALREADY HAVE ALL HIS CHARACTERISTICS, I WILL BECOME A REAL GOOD HUMAN BEING. That is why Big B goes there, to keep himself updated. That is why Muslims offer Namaz five times a day. That is why Christians go for mass every Sunday. So it is most important for a person to refresh himself, about Himself. The conscious mind is continuously busy sorting out day-to-day problems. So we tend to forget our own basic characteristics.

So things became very clear. Wrong stories were floated by our previous generations. What every idol of God  shows is - the characteristics of a good human being.

To be continued…
